Implementing strong Linked Learning pathways often requires schools to address challenges such as course scheduling, counseling capacity, and teacher collaboration. In addition, many programs have to find creative means to overcome student self-selection out of programs based on perceived capabilities for success. Del Lago Academy’s campus mission—to prepare future scholars, innovators and world citizens—is embedded throughout the courses and collaborative partnerships that support the pathway. After opening in Fall 2013, Del Lago Academy now hosts over 300 high school students in a combined Health Sciences and Biosciences pathway.
