Developing Authentic Industry-Based Performance Tasks

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will begin the session by engaging in experiential learning in response to an authentic industry-based performance task. After experiencing this task as a student would, participants will reflect on the implications such a task would have upon their own classrooms and schools contexts. Participants will examine the process of using an industry job shadow to create academically rigorous and industry relevant performance tasks that engage students and allow them to apply a variety of skills to complex, real-world problems.
